My name is Vijayendra Mohanty and I am the co-creator of the comic book series Ravanayan, which was the story of the Ramayana from the point of view of Ravana, its chief antagonist. I also wrote for and ran the YouTube channel Epified, which was about Indian mythology, philosophy, history, and folklore. You may have also seen Epified videos on TV’s Epic Channel.
I write about contemporary Indian society and culture from the perspective of an atheist. I've been writing for years now and my words have been read and shared by thousands of people who follow me on social networks (although I have quit Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram by now), by way of my email newsletter, and on my podcast.
I also publish videos on YouTube on my personal YouTube channel. I used to be regular on Twitter and Instagram but am not present on any social media platforms anymore on account of the fact that these are literal hellholes designed to sap life, joy, and creativity from the human mind and turn us into drones for corporations to exploit. I also used to run a live debate / discussion podcast series on my live stream channel Vimoh Live which ran for three years and was concluded in December 2024.
When I am not writing essays or recording podcasts, I spend my time reading and writing speculative fiction. I also enjoy books covering digital culture and media criticism.
